Somerset Art Weeks returns for 2026

From 19th of September to 4th of October this year

Somerset Art Weeks alternates each autumn between Open Studios and Exhibitions + Events.

This is now the largest visual arts event in the county, investing in the arts community and enriching lives. The eclectic mix of artists ensures that the festival will be not only visually exciting but also stimulating for the visitor. Whatever your taste or view on art is, the diversity of art forms and artists guarantees that there is something for everyone.

Join us for Somerset Arts Weeks 2026! Enjoy 16 days of creative exploration. Meet artists and makers, engage in exciting workshops, and discover the creative communities on your doorstep.

The theme this year is ‘Cultural Connections’; bringing partners, artists, and communities together to celebrate and explore the cultural ties that define us from Palaeolithic to Present, Human and Non-Human species. We want to experience inspiring journeys that reveal new perspectives on our shared Somerset identity and celebrate the unique cultural richness that defines Somerset.

As always, festival years are about community and celebration and will see venue’s hosting group exhibitions, curated shows and events from SAW Members and invited artists, as well as showcasing new work and special commissions from a variety of artists and makers.
