Beanacre Barn

Location & Directions

The Beanacre Barn

The Beanacre Barn is at Church Farm located on the edge of the village of Binegar on top of the Mendip Hills, 4 miles north of Wells.
It is the perfect base from which to explore Somerset,  the 'Jewel of the Southwest'.

Church Farm dates from the 1640s and as the name suggests, historically it was owned by the Church of England, which once owned very great areas of land in the country. Church Farm is now the oldest occupied dwelling in the village.

Beanacre Barn, which is rated 4 Stars + Gold Award by Visit England, was converted by us from one of the original farm buildings.  It is detached, has its own secluded part of the garden and is the only holiday property we have. Church Farm is no longer a working farm, so there are no animals on the farm but there are usually ‘guest’ sheep or cows in our field outside the Barn’s kitchen window!

We look forward to welcoming you!

We have really enjoyed our 3 week stay in the Barn. Fabulous accommodation and hospitality. From breakfast in the garden at the start of our stay to cosy nights by the log fire at the end. It's a great spot from which to explore this part of the world.
