At its heart lies a magnificent Palladian house, but it is the world-famous landscape garden that truly captures the imagination of those who visit. First opened in the eighteenth century, the grounds were designed by Henry Hoare II to feel like a living classical painting, and they remain a masterpiece of landscape architecture.
During the summer months, the lush green canopy of the trees reflects beautifully upon the vast central lake, creating a wonderfully tranquil atmosphere.
