Our Cleaning & Disinfecting Guidelines during the COVID-19 restrictions

We are concerned to do all we can to maximise your safety and help you feel totally safe during your stay in Beanacre Barn.

These Guidelines are based on publicly available information from the World Health Organization (WHO).
They meet the standards required by VisitEngland to achieve their 'Good to Go' certification shown below.

General cleanliness / safeguarding guidelines

  • We have always regarded the cleanliness of the Beanacre Barn as our highest priority in ensuring your stay is enjoyable, comfortable and most importantly safe.
This has been consistently recognised in the top rating for cleanliness awarded by VisitEngland in their annual quality assessments.
  • Nevertheless, under present circumstances, our cleaning and preparations for your arrival will be enhanced:
    • In addition to our normal cleaning regime, all ‘high touch’ surfaces such as the following will be sanitised using 'hospital grade' products which meet BS EN1276.
      • Door and cupboard handles and keys.
      • Controls and switches (e.g. light switches, cooking controls, television controls)
      • Bathroom taps, toilet flush handles, toilet seats.
      • Utensils, cutlery and crockery
      • Furniture such as chairs, tables and parts of the bed frames
      • Refuse, recycling bins.
      • Cleaning equipment such as vacuum cleaners, brushes
      • Guest information will be provided by additional pages on our website.  Link to Guest Information.
Our normal information folder and tourist brochures have been removed.
    • We will maintain social distancing policy during check-in and check-out and at all other occasions of interaction with our guests.
    • We recommend the removal of shoes on entering the Barn, leaving them on the mat immediately inside the door.
    • Our earliest arrival time will be delayed to allow additional time for the enhanced preparations and we ask you to leave a little earlier too. Please be understanding!
