Barn Porch

The Beanacre Barn is the perfect base from which to discover Somerset, the 'Jewel of the Southwest'. Visit majestic Bath and the fine cathedral city of Wells, roam the ancient byways on the rugged Mendip Hills, explore mystical Glastonbury, its historic Abbey and Tor, or catch the stunning sight of the Starling Murmurations on the Somerset Levels.

Set in the beautiful Mendip Hills, an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (AONB), in Somerset, England, the Beanacre Barn is an exceptionally spacious, open beamed barn which has been imaginatively converted and beautifully furnished by the present owners. It has been awarded the prestigious Gold Award by VisitEngland, given to the few top self-catering properties that offer the highest quality of accommodation and customer service.

Designed for 2 persons, with the added flexibility of the quality sofa-bed for short stay visitors, the Barn combines modern facilities and great comfort with traditional style in a peaceful setting.

The Barn's walled cottage-style garden is a particularly outstanding feature, providing a secluded and peaceful place in which to relax.

This is the Year of the English Garden.
What better time to enjoy a peaceful break in this rural retreat with its own beautiful english cottage garden?

The Barn is located on the edge of the village of Binegar on top of the Mendip Hills, 4 miles north of Wells. Bath and Bristol are both 13 miles and there is a wealth of places of interest nearby.

Places such as mystical Glastonbury Tor and the ancient Abbey amid the Somerset Levels, towering Cheddar Gorge with its caves, villages like Nunney with its C12 castle or charming Mells untouched by time, together with many stunning National Trust properties, are all within easy reach by car.
